gohide Pro is a one-time, perpetual purchase: pay once, use it for good, with free updates. Activation needs no account, and it works with or without internet: paste your key into gohide and it activates online in seconds, or — for a PC that never goes online — generate a license file on this website from any other device and import it. The license never expires. What gohide keeps on the PC is a license file valid for 12 months, which it refreshes quietly in the background whenever the PC happens to be online — you never see it happen. A PC that is never online can use Pro indefinitely too: about once a year — gohide says so a month ahead and shows the deadline (the file's 12 months plus a 60-day grace period) — import a fresh file with the same offline steps as the first time. It takes a minute. The refresh sends only this PC's machine ID and fingerprint — no usage data, nothing about what you hide.

Try before you buy

There is no time-limited trial — an unlicensed install simply runs as the Free edition, forever. Free covers the core workflow (hide windows, taskbar buttons and tray icons for up to 3 apps, with global hotkeys), so you can confirm gohide works on your PC before buying. Importing a license unlocks the Pro features: suspend-while-hidden, unlimited managed apps, the privacy cover screen, dynamic selection rules, mouse and hot-corner triggers, and the PIN lock. (Free keeps your app list and the five global hotkeys across restarts; per-app hotkeys last until gohide restarts.)

Activate in gohide (online, a few seconds)

Buy Pro. You'll receive a license key by email (it starts with key/).
Paste it into gohide. Open Settings → License, paste the key into the License key box and click Activate. Pro unlocks at once.

If this PC can't reach our server, gohide offers to open the Activate page in your browser with the key and this PC's activation code already filled in — or use the offline steps below.

How offline activation works

Use this when the PC you're activating has no internet connection at all. It needs no connection on that PC at any point — the file can be generated on your phone.

Buy Pro. You'll receive a license key by email.
Copy this PC's activation code. In gohide, open Settings → License and click Activate offline — it shows an activation code unique to this PC (the machine fingerprint).
Generate your license file. Go to the Activate page, paste your license key and the activation code, and download the signed gohide.lic file.
Import it. Back in gohide's License window, import the .lic file. Pro unlocks immediately and stays activated on that machine.

Why a file instead of a server?

The license file is signed, and gohide verifies it on your own PC. That means you can activate a machine that has no internet access at all — generate the file on your phone or another computer and carry it over. gohide has no account and no telemetry; the only thing Pro ever sends is the yearly license refresh described above.

One computer per license

Each purchase activates one computer — the license file is tied to that machine's fingerprint. If activation reports that the key is already in use on another computer, that's this limit at work, not a problem with your key.

Moving to a new PC: open Manage devices (or Manage devices… in gohide's License window), enter your license key and unbind the old machine yourself, then activate the new one the normal way. Reinstalling Windows on the same PC needs no unbinding. Refunds: refund terms depend on where and how you purchased — the refund policy page for your store is authoritative.
