gohide Pro is a one-time, perpetual purchase, and activation works fully offline — no account, and no license server is ever contacted while you use the app.

Try before you buy

There is no time-limited trial — an unlicensed install simply runs as the Free edition, forever. Free covers the core workflow (hide windows, taskbar buttons and tray icons for up to 3 apps, with global hotkeys), so you can confirm gohide works on your PC before buying. Importing a license unlocks the Pro features: suspend-while-hidden, unlimited managed apps, the privacy cover screen, dynamic selection rules, and settings that persist across restarts.

How offline activation works

1. Buy Pro. You'll receive a license key by email.
2. Find your machine fingerprint. In gohide, open the License window — it shows a fingerprint unique to this PC.
3. Generate your license file. Go to the Activate page, paste your license key and the machine fingerprint, and download the signed gohide.lic file.
4. Import it. Back in gohide's License window, import the .lic file. Pro unlocks immediately and stays activated on that machine.

Why a file instead of a server?

The license file is securely verified on your own PC. That means activation works on machines with no internet access, and gohide never needs to connect to the internet — consistent with its no-telemetry, no-account design.

One computer per license

Each purchase activates one computer — the license file is tied to that machine's fingerprint. If activation reports that the key is already in use on another computer, that's this limit at work, not a problem with your key.

Moving to a new PC: contact support with your license key; we release the old machine and you activate on the new one the normal way. Refunds: because the license works offline forever, a refund requires deactivating the license first — see the refund policy.
